Learn to Dive in Grand Turk

From your very first breath underwater to advanced certifications, our Grand Turk dive team offers a full range of PADI training. Courses run from the dive shack behind the Salt Raker Inn, with sites chosen daily to suit your level and the conditions.

We keep the classroom part where it belongs — at home. For every certification course you complete the knowledge portion online before you arrive, using PADI’s eLearning. That means no screens and no textbooks eating into your vacation: you land ready to get in the water.

Advanced Open Water Diver

You don’t have to be advanced to take the next step.

Ready to build on your Open Water certification? The Advanced Open Water Diver course expands your skills across five adventure dives over two days — including deep and underwater navigation dives — so you can explore more of what Grand Turk has to offer with greater confidence. Complete the knowledge portion online before you arrive.

Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

More no-decompression time on every dive.

Diving with enriched air nitrox lets you extend your bottom time and shorten surface intervals — a real advantage on multi-dive days. This course covers how to safely plan and dive with nitrox, with the knowledge portion completed online. Open to Open Water certified divers and above.

$150 per person

Rescue Diver

The most challenging — and most rewarding — course you’ll take.

The Rescue Diver course teaches you to prevent and manage problems in the water and to help other divers in need. Demanding but hugely rewarding, it’s the course most divers say made them more confident and aware. You’ll expand your knowledge online before arriving, then put it into practice on Grand Turk.

Prerequisites: Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and a current Emergency First Response / CPR and First Aid certification completed within the last 24 months. Please arrive with your first-aid certification in hand.

Skill Refreshers

Scuba Refresher

Been a while? Get comfortable again before you hit the Wall.

If it’s been a while since your last dive, a refresher rebuilds your confidence before you head out. In a single session you’ll review key safety skills and get reacquainted with your equipment under the guidance of a PADI professional — so your first dive of the trip feels easy, not rusty.

$150 per person

Refresher + 2-Tank Dive

A skills refresher plus a guided day on the reef.

The best of both worlds: spend an afternoon reviewing your essential skills, then join a guided two-tank boat dive the following morning. It’s the ideal way to shake off the rust and get straight back to real diving, with a professional alongside you the whole way.

$275 per person

Health & Age Requirements

Before you dive, please review the PADI Diver Medical form. Some conditions require a physician’s sign-off, so it’s worth checking before you travel.

Minimum ages: Discover Scuba Diving and the Open Water Diver course are open to divers aged 10 and up. Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver have their own minimum ages and prerequisites. Younger divers may have depth limits — our team will walk you through what applies to you.
